How to use MarkUp:
Comment Mode:
- Upon opening a Website MarkUp, you'll be in Comment mode by default.
- Click anywhere on the page to leave comments, also known as 'dropping a pin'.
Browse Mode:
- Switch to Browse mode to navigate through different pages of the website within the same MarkUp.
- To see comments while browsing, click the gear icon (⚙️) and enable 'Show pins in browse'.
- Toggle between Comment and Browse modes using the '1' or '2' keys on your keyboard.
Understanding Context:
- The Comment Panel on the left shows each comment's context, including the browser, screen size, and operating system used by the reviewer.
- Use the 'Get info' option in a comment's three-dot menu to understand the commenter's viewing conditions, aiding in resolving recurring issues effectively.
Device Previews:
- Website MarkUps open in Desktop preview by default, with improved Tablet and Mobile previews to better reflect the site's responsiveness.
- Use the preview icons to comment in different device views, noting that comments are unique to each view.
Tracking Revisions:
- Comments automatically capture a screenshot, pinpointing the exact issue or element discussed.
- Installing the Chrome extension enables instant screenshot capture, while non-extension use may require a short upload time.
- These screenshots are invaluable for tracking changes, especially when comments become disconnected due to URL changes or element modifications.
